Shake Shack – New York City – Coming To Toronto!!!

Mark your calendars: New York City’s Shake Shack burgers and shakes are headed north of the border to Toronto for one day only! That’s right, on January 18th, 2017 Shake Shack will be holding a pop-up shop at Momofuku Daisho (190 University Ave.) from 12:30 pm – 6:30 pm to sell their delicious burgers and crinkle-cut fries to hungry Torontonians!

I had the opportunity to try Shake Shack for myself last summer while visiting New York City with my good friends Rebecca and Brittney. After a mid-day cycling session through Central Park, we decided to stop at Shake Shack’s Upper West Side location at 77th Street and Columbus Avenue.

Working up an appetite in Central Park.

Shake Shack features a simple menu full of American classics including burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and crinkle-cut fries. While your not likely to discover anything on this menu that you haven’t tried before, what Shake Shack does, they do very well. I particularly love American size portions, full-fat flavours, and bring a “When in Rome” attitude with me when crossing the border.

I would recommend ShakeShack to families looking for a quintessential New York City experience. Their creamy shakes make a particularly great treat on a hot day and their decidedly kid-friendly menu is sure to please. Don’t let the calories stop you from enjoying this indulgent taste of Americana – New York City is full of sights, many best seen on foot!

ShakeShack operates 22 locations in New York City and many more in major cities throughout the United States. For the complete ShakeShack menu click here.
